for nice things and not so nice things that seem nice at first

Here I go, typing into the notes app on my phone as I sit in the driver’s seat killing time in a precious moment of silence and non-touching. Royal is taking a nap after our routine morning run to the farmers market this Saturday. I got some Snapdragons and Chamomile that I truly couldn’t afford ($26 flowers???), but they’re GORG. I’ve always been a sucker for pretty things. And that may be the death of me, in all honesty. A pretty thing could be hovering over a bed of flowing lava and I’m finding my way to it, no doubt. I might even sacrifice a few toes for a pretty thing…
