Growth happens all too quickly to constantly process in our society. We’re all moving so promptly toward the next thing(s) that we forget to notice our bodies shifts unless they demand our attention. For example: Allergy season kicking southerners’ butts every Spring. I didn’t really have allergy issues until I turned 21. That year, for 14 days, I was sniffly with a sore throat, congestion headaches and itchy eyes. After those two weeks, I didn’t have any issues for years… Until I got pregnant. I can only make sense of this by thinking of the immense changes in hormones, diet, organ organization, weight, etc. My body shifted from a maiden to a mother. From an allergy-free joyous flower sniffer living with open windows, to a couch ridden, warm weather and flower admirer through the closed windows and doors of my house.
